A.T.T.C. Club Rules |
General rules All players including coaches and helpers must sign in every day. Please sign in upon entering. Nothing other than a ball or paddle should ever be placed on top of the tables. Do not bang your paddle on the table. The tables are very expensive and the paddles break. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the club. The gym is a gum free zone. Players caught sticking gum to the bottom of tables, chairs etc will be banned. No food is allowed around the tables. All drinks must have a screw on top. Fast food and coffee cups are not allowed. Street shoes are not permitted. Please wear athletic shoes with suitable non-marking soles. One ball per table. Please do not stuff your pockets full of balls. Please be quiet when leaving at night so as not to disturb
the neighbors Challenge tables The middle row of tables is for match play. If you play on these tables you MUST accept challengers. When other players are waiting, warn up time is limited to 5 minutes. King of the Hill table The middle table farthest from the hall is the King of the Hill Table. All challenge table rules apply except that the winner stays on as long as he keeps winning. Good etiquette dictates that beginners should not challenge on the King of the Hill Table if other players are waiting. Queuing up To play on any table, place your paddle in the rack next to that table. If your paddle is not in the rack, then you are NOT in line for play. With the exception of the King of The hill table, when all table are occupied, you may only wait on 1 table at a time. Ball retrieval If a ball rolls into your court please return the ball as
soon as your point is over. If your ball rolls into an adjacent court, do not
run after it! Wait until the point ends on that court to retrieve your ball. 3 and out When 2 or more players are waiting on any Challenge table,
and a player wins 3 or more matches, he must vacate the table and re-queue, and
the next 2 players are up. Open Play tables The row of tables on the North side are for General use. If
you are playing matches then the rules for the Challenge tables apply. If you
are practicing, and other players are waiting, then you may use the table for 60
minutes, after which you must move tables or get back in line. Practice Tables The tables on the south side are available for coaching, drilling and practice. If other players are waiting, then you may use the table for 60 minutes, after which you must move tables or get back in line. ATTC Coaching policy No formal coaching, paid or unpaid, may take place in the facility without prior approval. |
